Olivier Dellenbach: Founder, President & CEO, eFront

As the founder and CEO of eFront, a leading software provider of financial solutions, Olivier Dellenbach has extensive experience in the alternative investment and risk management industries. He leads the strategic paths of the company and its solutions, ensuring innovation remains the core value. Prior to founding eFront, he co-founded NAT Systèmes in 1987, becoming its chairman in 1989. At the end of 1998, with offices in 8 different countries, over 250 employees and revenues of over €35 million, the company was sold to the Canadian group Cognicase. Olivier is a graduate of École Polytechnique (1981), one of the most selective engineering schools in Europe.

Eric Bernstein: COO North America, eFront

Eric Bernstein joined eFront from Sophis, where he spent four years as chief operating officer in the North America regions. Prior to joining Sophis, Eric spent six years at Linedata Services in various roles including senior vice president and head of sales in North America. Prior to Linedata Services he held positions at PaineWebber as head equity trader, and at Melvin Specialists as a market maker and equity trader. Eric brings a tremendous track record of solutions selling and marketing in the financial industry.

Eric Bernstein joined eFront in 2011 as COO, North America and is responsible for coordinating Sales and Professional Services in the US and Canada and developing eFront’s growing North American client base that includes private equity and real estate investors, fund managers and service providers.

Tarek Chouman: COO Asia & Middle East, eFront

A graduate of ISIM (1994), Tarek Chouman started his career in IT services. In 1997, he joined the Logispace Group to take charge of the development of a software suite dedicated to the management of big companies’ real estate assets. In 1999, he joined Canadian Group Cognicase, as Manager of Integration and Engineering Activities in Europe.

In 2003, he joined eFront as Services Manager before being appointed Managing Director for France and Continental Europe in 2004. In 2008, he opened eFront’s office in Dubai as Managing Director for Asia & the Middle East. In 2010, he opened eFront’s office in Hong Kong to support the growing business in China.


David Miller: Chief Marketing Officer, eFront

David Miller joined eFront from IntraLinks where he spent two years as Vice President of Product Marketing with global responsibilities. Prior to IntraLinks, David spent a year at CA Technologies running go-to-market initiatives in the security business unit. David landed at CA after the purchase of Orchestria where he was Vice President of Product Marketing. Prior to Orchestria, he spent a combined nine years at Siebel Systems (now Oracle), Sapient and Accenture. David graduated from Dartmouth College and earned an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

David joined eFront in 2011 as Chief Marketing Officer and is responsible for furthering eFront’s global leadership in the alternative investment industry.


Thomas Nokin: Chief Technology Officer, eFront

A graduate of Polytechnique (1989) and ENSTA (1992), Thomas Nokin started his career as consultant at NAT Systèmes before joining the product development center. He was then put in charge of the development of the objects broker of NAT Systèmes, then of the NatWeb tool which creates dynamic websites. From 1999 to 2004, he co-founded and became CTO of the American company PackOnline, which supplies health professionals with light client management software marketed on the Internet in ASP mode.

In 2002 he joined eFront, where he is now CTO.


Thomas Meyer: Director, LDS Partners

Thomas’ focus is the development of risk measurement models and investment strategies for private equity funds-of-funds. Related to this, he has years of practical experience and has researched and published on public policy approaches to the development of venture capital markets.

After 12 years in the German Air Force he worked for the German insurance group Allianz AG in corporate finance and as the regional Chief Financial officer of Allianz Asia Pacific in Singapore. He was responsible for the creation of the risk management function at the European Investment Fund. He is a Shimomura Fellow of the Development Bank of Japan and was a visiting researcher at Hitotsubashi University in Tokyo.

Thomas was a director of the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association. He is a member of the private equity subcommittee of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst® Program.

He co-authored a series of books, e.g. “Beyond the J Curve” that has been translated in Chinese and will soon also be available in Japanese, “J Curve exposure” and two CAIA Level II books, the required readings of the level II of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst® Program.

Thomas studied computer science at the Bundeswehr Universitaet in Munich and holds a Dr.rer.nat. from the University of Trier. He graduated with a MBA from the London Business School and with a MA in Japanese Language and Society from the University of Sheffield’s School of East Asian Studies.

Francois Gamblin: CEO, Secondcap

François Gamblin is responsible for implementing the strategic objectives of Secondcap and establishing and maintaining client relationships. François was previously a Partner at Fondinvest Capital in Paris, a €2Bn Fund of Funds. He has a record of successfully sourcing and investing in a large number of European middle market and global private equity funds, both on a primary and secondary basis. Prior to joining Fondinvest Capital he held several senior financial positions within Faurecia. He started his career with Mazars. François graduated from HEC.

Jeremy Hocter – Head of Product Management, Pevara

Jeremy is a private equity specialist with expert knowledge of private equity investment operations and performance measurement. As the product manager Jeremy works closely with limited partners to ensure that Pevara delivers the advanced analytical tools they need to optimize performance and reduce risk. He draws from over 10 years of experience advising limited partners throughout Europe and the US on using technology to improve fund investment operations and best practices for performance measurement, benchmarking and due diligence. Before joining Pevara Jeremy was a senior consultant for 4vco and prior to that an operations manager at Cambridge Associates. Jeremy graduated from Bentley University in Boston, Massachusetts.

Oliver Gottschalg -Strategy and Business Policy Professor, HEC

Oliver Gottschalg holds a Wirtschaftsingenieur Diploma from the University of Karlsruhe, an MBA from Georgia State University and a M.Sc. and Ph.D. degree from INSEAD.

His current research focuses on the strategic logic and the performance determinants of private equity investments. A second stream of work looks at the implications of employee motivation for firm performance in different settings. In parallel to his faculty position at HEC, he is affiliated with INSEAD as a visiting researcher and the coordinator of the HEC Buyout Research program.

Samuel Lau – Business Development Manager, AVCJ

Now based in Hong Kong, Samuel is working for a content brand known as the AVCJ.

The AVCJ has been supporting the Asian private equity & venture capital community for 25 years.

Ben Mazza – Chief Operating Officer, Investment Cafe

Ben joined eFront in 2012 via eFront’s acquisition of DMLT, the provider of the Investment Café investor portal and reporting platform. Ben spent more than a decade with DMLT, since its inception, building the company into the global leader for investor reporting and other related services. He oversees all aspects of Investment Café including setting its strategic direction and even serving as the primary contact for its largest accounts.

Ben also established the client services function, training, off-shore support and product strategy. He has been quoted in Private Equity International and Buyouts magazines. Previously, Ben was the director of client services at US Interactive where he was responsible for marketing and product development after spending time with a Madison Avenue advertising agency. Ben holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo.


Andy Brizell, Senior Counsel, Aztec Group

Andy joined the Aztec Group in 2010 as Senior Legal Counsel and provides a broad range of legal advice across the Group.

After graduating from the University of Durham, Andy converted to law and trained at a City firm Taylor Wessing before qualifying into the private equity team of their corporate department in 2005. Andy relocated to Jersey in 2006 to work for Mourant du Feu & Jeune as an associate in their corporate and funds teams where he specialized in fund formation and regulatory law. In 2008, Andy moved back to the mainland to work for Burges Salmon LLP as an associate in their corporate tax team.

Qualifications: Andy is a qualified solicitor, a chartered tax adviser (CTA) and he also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Durham.

Erika van der Merwe, CEO, South African Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SAVCA)


Erika van der Merwe is CEO of the South African Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (SAVCA), a member organisation that promotes the asset class to regulators and investors.

She is a former financial journalist and was active in the print, online and broadcast media. Prior to her media career she had a short period in academia before joining Old Mutual Asset Managers as an economist in 1995.

Erika holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) accreditation and has a master’s degree in economics from Cambridge University and from the former University of Natal.

She joined the board of the CFA SA Society in 2012.

Stuart Keeler: COO – Data initiatives at eFront


After graduating from West of England University (1990), Stuart Keeler started his career at Diagram Systems – a publisher of banking applications – where he held a variety of duties before being appointed sales manager in charge of the British subsidiary. In 1997, he is recruited to restructure and revitalize C-Dilla Limited, a company specialized in the management of digital rights. After his successful sale of the company in June 1999, he joined a private equity management firm as manager of an equity portfolio.

In 2002, he joined eFront as Managing Director of the British subsidiary.

Tom Williams: Director of Professional Services


Tom is an eFront veteran of many years and has held numerous senior roles throughout the company’s professional services organization. Tom leverages a deep knowledge of the industry and technology to help alternative investment firms evolve their operations – across the front, middle and back office. Tom has worked closely with general partner, limited partner, fund of funds and fund administrator clients across Europe and North America and is an expert in project planning, implementation and deployment.




Noreen Crowe: Director of Product Management at eFront

Noreen is responsible for developing new eFront solutions based on market requirements. Noreen has an extensive background in implementing investment applications to meet the complex requirements of private equity. She has an exceptional knowledge of regulation impacting the alternative investments sector, including FATCA and AIFMD.




Vanessa Tollis: Partner at Gide Loyrette Nouel LLP

Vanessa Tollis heads Gide’s U.S. tax practice from New York, specializing for over 13 years in the U.S. tax aspects of cross-border transactions (inbound and outbound). She regularly advises global capital markets participants and sponsors on securities offerings and tax-efficient structured finance, including cross-border securitizations.  She also advises funds and investors on tax issues when structuring funds and other joint ventures, and international clients on a wide variety of U.S. tax issues, including U.S. trade or business, withholding taxes, tax treaties, PFIC, CFC, FIRPTA, entity classification, FATCA, and a broad range of domestic tax issues.
